The Japanese Red Cross has set up an appeal to help those affected by the devastating earthquake on the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture on New Year's Day. At least 200 people have died and thousands more have been left homeless and are in shelter as aftershocks continue. As rescue operations are carried out, vital supplies are needed to ensure everyone is safely accounted for.
